Sara bareilles amidst the chaos free download
My daughter was raped repeatedly by her paternal half brother as a sma child. She is now 14 years old and fighting severe depression and suicide. She will prevail. I love your posts, Flourish Anyway. Perhaps I should have written my comment on your other post here instead, so I'll just link another track instead. Again, Nic Evennett. A song about finding peace in the worst times. I know she is not well known but I find her music so healing.
It might help others too and it's nice to discover new music sometimes. Where is Hatebreed?! They're the only band you'll ever need to listen to when it comes to strenght, perseverance and determination! Daniel - You seem to be a very articulate, sensitive, and self-aware person, and whatever your specific struggles I encourage you to keep persevering.
There are certain to be dark days, and perhaps even long stretches of time, when hope seems forgotten. However, with fortitude, a little luck, and help from others, you can let the light back in. Don't shut others out. Don't give up on yourself or the impossible. Although I'm sure it's not the same as your situation, let me share how the impossible can be overcome at times. I've struggled with MS for well over a decade. It's been absolute hell at times to the point that I lost my eyesight in one eye and couldn't walk well.
However, I stubbornly hung on to the impossible belief that I could beat this incurable disease. My doctors are puzzled, but tests don't lie. My point is that nothing is hopeless, not even an incurable disease.
Daniel, I send you my best. Know that there are others who root for your success. In spite of your obstacles, may you flourish anyway. Daniel Defoy - You've thought quite a lot about this song, and your description is almost poetic. I hope you are well, and I wish I could rattle off a bunch of songs in response to your request.
I don't know what type of battle or obstacle you are facing, and I think context is critical. Many "challenge" or "adversity" songs are specific to love or addiction or a specific type of struggle. As such, their lyrics comprise the opportunity for other contexts, thus they could be entirely wrong for your situation.
It seems generally like you're looking for those about an uphill battle with uncertain victory. While there is Metallica's "Bleeding Me" from the album "Load," the lyrics are stronger than the music; the song wasn't released as a single for a good reason. I wish I could have been more helpful. Perhaps another reader will have a specific suggestion? Whatever difficulty you are facing, I wish you well.
Remember that nothing is hopeless, and happy surprises do occur. Hey, author, can you suggest a song like "I see fire" by ed sheeran? I don't know how to term that song. Subjectively, it is a song where one knows that he is faced with insurmountable odds, a storm that he will not survive. And even if he does survive, he'll be battered to pieces. I quote,. It's strange how these folks know they're gonna die. This journey will wear them thin, but this is a journey they cannot avoid, and what awaits them on the other side is, not heroic glory, but another journey of equal nature.
I find this idea impeccable. There is no heroism here, nothing to glorify, no pride in death, just a camaraderie stitched together by a grim sense of duty and responsibilities which slowly chip away the traveller, until he falls.
An unnamed expiration, forgotten by history. It would be immensely helpful if you could mail me the response though, as I have no way of knowing whether if there'll be a response at all. You can mail me deoxys gmail. Mr N - You're right that it is rather low key in comparison to other songs. I appreciate your suggestion. Thanks for stopping by, and keep persevering in the face of whatever challenges come your way.
Anonymous - I am so sorry about your mother's diagnosis. Take care of yourself and know that there are people you have never met who are thinking about you both and hoping for the best. I have added your song as My mother was diagnosed with an advanced and aggressive form of squamous cell carcinoma a month ago, just as I was starting university.
The song "Titanium" is the one that I listen to for her sake, and it's very uplifting. It has helped me for the past month and a half. Emily P - A big internet hug to you! You're a hero! Keep up the good fight, dear! Don't get discouraged. I know it's hard. I am adding your song. Thanks for the addition. You rock, young lady!
There's a special reason you walk this Earth. Hi, I'm 21 and have been fighting every day of my life. I have a blood disorder that makes it so my white blood cells don't recognize my own red blood cells as mine but they see them as foreign viruses. I have been on anti rejection meds since birth and have had multiple blood transfusions.
I continue to fight for every minute and every breath. My favorite fight song is superheroes by the script. Craig - I'm sorry to hear that you had to struggle with that.
Thanks for reading. Be strong. Geovanni Marucci - Well, what can I say? I'm only human. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm adding it! Thanks for stopping by! You kidding me? Average working class guy - I'm so glad that music has helped you through your struggles. Thank you for your comment and suggestions, and stay strong!

Danny - What a terrific idea to motivate students. I'm glad you found some of my suggestions useful! Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment. This is a terrific hub! I am a high school English teacher, and this past school year, I used music videos to get class started. I was looking for upbeat songs that I found at least a little bit encouraging, motivating, or inspiring - without being preachy.
I was also looking for well done videos. I managed to play one almost every day of school, so I have about on last year's playlist.
Part of my list is on your list, too. And you gave me some wonderful ideas for next year's playlist. Thank you so much! Patricia - thank you for reading. Music can uplift and inspire and keep us going. Hope your weekend is a good one. So many times we my family and I turn to music like many of these to help us walk through what faces us. It is often cathartic to listen to a song that speaks to uncertainty and hear the words to remind us to climb the mountain and see what waits at the top and more importantly on the others side.
Suzanne - Jon Bon Jovi rocks! I like how he seems to get better with age. Have an awesome week and thanks for the vote! Thank you for this uplifting hub! What a great idea, having a song list to empower people who need it the most. I like Jon's "It's my life" but having listened to a few others, you've definitely managed to pick the ones to help self-confidence while allowing a nod to bad experiences. Voted interesting! My pleasure, Flourish.
You too! I'm a bit sick with a cold and have a 4. Great song list with inspirational quotes. I would like to add "Survivor" by Destiny's Child to this list. Voted up for interesting! I always love your playlists. It brings back memories. You hit me with your best shot It takes quite a while to assemble these hubs, but they are among my favorite to research and write. I'm glad you like them. Have a great week. So I plan to look them up.
Very inspirational! I feel like I could camp out here for awhile and listen to some more tunes. I love all of your choices. Jo - Thanks for reading and for the kind compliments. That was a pretty good quote by old Charlie, eh?
Have a great week, my friend! Another brilliant compilation of music to empower. When we're going through tough times it so easy to feel 'why me! Go Des'ree. My favourite quote is the one about adapting to change by Charles Darwin. Once again, you rock!! Elvis recorded it honorably back in the day before my day. Thank you for stopping by, and have a wonderful week. This is so much fun despite the angst.
How music manipulates us. Many memories here for sure, there's always a tune to help us through. My own favourite would be Never Walk Alone from Carousel. It amuses me that it's now a theme song for Liverpool Footie club in the UK. Bet Rodgers and Hammerstein hadn't figured that. Thank you for such a well presented entertaining hub.
Writer Fox - Thanks for taking a look. All of us have faced hardship in one form or another or will , and I'm hoping this will help when it is needed.
Hope your is successful and happy. True classics. What an inspirational list of songs! It would be great if someone would produce an album with all of these in one place. Great choices here. I am impressed with the way you presented this interesting hub.
Most enjoyable read for me. Lady Guinevere - Thanks for reading and for your suggestions! I have added them to a table at the bottom. You sound like you've been through a lot. Keep on keeping on! You have some really good songs here. I found one that helped me survive a divorce, moved, being kick out and losing my job: "I'm Still Alive" by Pearl Jam and another one, "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica.
What a great idea for an article. You mentioned several of my favorite songs. It's amazing how music can be so powerful. Glad you enjoyed the hub. Have a terrific weekend. I've got another song list in the works on a related topic and I'd like to add it to that one. Thanks for the idea and for reading! Linda - Thank you for the kind words and for reading. Have a wonderful weekend, and try to stay warm!
Thanks for this brilliant compilation. Although I generally don't know many of the songs in your music hubs, I always enjoy reading the articles. You do a great job in creating them! They are interesting, useful and attractive. As I've said before, I also admire the effort that goes into creating them.
I also enjoy discovering some new music as I read the hubs! When first read the title before looking at the article, I had 2 to 3 songs pop into my mind.
I couldn't think of more than 3. I am so impressed with your list. The songs brought back many memories. Bill - Thanks for stopping by and for taking the time to leave a comment.
These are a lot of work to put together but much fun, too. Glad you enjoyed it. Have a wonderful weekend ahead. Faith Reaper - As I wrote the hub, I certainly thought of you! Yes, you are here for a reason! You are such an inspiration and source of positive encouragement.
